摘要:

An Institute for Theoretical Physicswill again be held this summer (June 15–August 31) at the University of Wisconsin. Funds for support of the program have been provided by the National Science Foundation. There will be no formal courses, but a seminar will meet twice a week and each participant will have the opportunity to present a lecture or two concerning his current research interest. Among the invited members who will be in residence for a period of three weeks or more are M. Baker (Stanford), J. Bardeen, R. Haag, and K. Nishijima (Illinois), J. Goldstone (Cambridge, England), H. Lehmann (Hamburg), Y. Nambu (Chicago), P. T. Matthews and A. Salam (Imperial College, London), J. Tiomno (Centro de Pesquisas Fisicas, Brazil), S. Weinberg (California, Berkeley), and E. P. Wigner (Princeton). Theoretical physicists on the staff of the University of Wisconsin will also participate in the institute. Inquiries should be sent to the Summer Institute for Theoretical Physics, Sterling Hall, University of Wisconsin, Madison 6, Wis.
