The genus Anchomomys is redefined and it now contains the type species A. gaillardi and A. pygmaeus. ‘Anchomomys’ latidens, described by Teilhard de Chardin, is not Anchomomys, and probably not a primate but an erinaceoid insectivoran. A new genus, Hürzeleris, is based on a species previously allocated to Anchomomys, ‘A’. quercyi Stehlin, 1916. The type species of another new genus Microadapis is ‘Adapis’ sciureus S
