ZusammenfassungSerumproben von 88 Rindern eines leukoseverseuchten Milchviehbestandes wurden im Immunodiffusionstest auf präzipitierende Antikörper gegen bovines C‐Typ‐Virus‐spezifisches Antigen untersucht. 35 Tiere (40%) zeigten dabei positive Reaktionen. Bei Gegenüberstellung der gleichzeitig erhobenen hämatologischen und der serologischen Befunde ergab sich, daß von 25 Kühen mit stark oder mäßig erhöhten Lymphozytenwerten 23 Tiere (92%) Antikörperträger waren, während von 63 Kühen mit normalen Blutwerten 12 Tiere (19%) ebenfalls präzipitierende Antikörper zeigten. ‐ Mit bovinem Antigen präzipitierende Seren reagierten mit einer ovinen C‐Typ‐Virus‐spezifischen Antigenpräparation in identischer Weise. ‐ Die Ergebnisse weisen darauf hin, daß der Immunodiffusionstest als spezifisches diagnostisches Hilfsmittel praktische Bedeutung zur Erkennung infizierter Einzeltiere oder Bestände erlangen könnte.SummaryAntibodies against bovine and ovine C‐type‐virus antigen in sera of cattle in a milk herd with leucosis (Preliminary communication).Sera from 88 cattle in a milk herd with leucosis were examined by the immunodiffusion test for precipitating antibodies against C‐type‐virus‐specific antigen. 35 animals (40%) gave positive reactions. Comparing the haematological and serological findings, on samples taken at the same time, of 25 cows with marked or moderate rises in lymphocyte counts 23 (92%) showed antibodies, whereas of 63 cows with normal blood values 12 (19%) showed similar antibodies. Sera that precipitated with bovine antigen also reacted with an ovine C‐type‐virus specific antigen preparation. En comparant les données hématologiques et sérologiques, on a trouvé que sur 25 vaches, dont la valeur lymphocytaire était fortement ou moyennement élevée, 23 animaux (92%) étaient porteurs d'anticorps, alors que sur 63 vaches avec des valeurs sanguines normales, 12 animaux (19%) reésentaient également des anticorps précipitants. Les sérums précipitant l'antigène bovin réagirent de la même manière avec un antigène spécifique viral du typeC ovin. Al enfrentar los hallazgos hematológicos a los serológicos evidenciados al mismo tiempo se infirió que de 25 vacas con valores linfocitarios muy o discretamente aumentados portaban 23 animales (92%) anticuerpos, mientras que de 63 vacas con valores hematológicos normales también presentaban 12 animales (19%) anticuerpos precipitantes.
