Dana Marlin was born in Newport Beach, California in 1972 andraised in Malta. He received his BS in Biochemistry from the CaliforniaPolytechnique University at San Luis Obispo in 1996. Since then, he hasbeen working as a graduate student in the research group of ProfessorMascharak at the University of California, Santa Cruz. His researchinterests include syntheses and characterization of iron complexes thatexhibit reactivity toward small molecules like dioxygen and NO. His hobbiesinclude windsurfing and sailing.
