AbstractIn 1983, the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services issued a regulation requiring that parents be notified if minors were issued prescription contraceptives. The courts have disposed of that proposal, hut it may reappear in the legislative process. The author examines issues and possible effects of the government's rule and suggests responses social workers could take should new legislation put the restriction into effect.

AbstractA study conducted with a random sample of Pennsylvania school administrators identified several barriers to the implementation of social work services in schools under P.L. 94–142. In addition to problems of funding, significant impediments were found in relation to the knowledge, values, and performance of the administrators.
